ii. Watercolor

2023 - Present

During a semester abroad in Rome, Italy [Spring 2023] I took an elective course that unexpectedly opened a new chapter in my creative journey: watercolor painting. A medium I had once considered impossible to master quickly became a source of fascination and inspiration.

Through early trial and error, I came to understand that watercolor demands both patience and purpose. Its quick drying nature leaves little room for hesitation, yet invites a quiet discipline. Each layer building upon the last, capturing a visual memory of every brushstroke, every subtle shift in pigmentation. It’s a process that has taught me to embrace imperfection, slow down, and let the medium speak for itself.
